ESSO Chevron et al Isserk I-15 Drilling Program

Project Description

Following a referral from the Environmental Impact Screening Committee (EISC) on August 30, 1989, the Environmental Impact Review Board (EIRB) conducted a public review of Esso Resources Canada Limited's proposed drilling program for the Isserk I-15 exploration well in the Beaufort Sea. The review examined potential environmental impacts, worst-case scenarios, relief well capability, contingency planning, wildlife compensation, and routine operations including demobilization of the Molikpaq structure.
